Lila Pathways was born out of a mother's fierce protective heart and a master educator's clinical vision. I founded this academy because I lived the exact systemic fractures currently impacting your family.

A Mother's Journey

My youngest daughter was exceptionally gifted in math. By the end of sixth grade, her quantitative logic was so advanced she was invited to the prestigious Duke University summer math program. Yet, in high school, she suddenly began failing the subject. When I asked her what changed, her answer broke my heart: “Mom, the teachers just don't have the time to stop and and help me with what I need before moving on to the next thing."  Without that critical baseline, she began to spiral downhill.

A Teacher's Perspective

Later, as a classroom teacher, I experienced that exact crisis from the other side of the desk. Bound by the rigid pacing requirements of public education, I saw a massive chasm in traditional schooling. I desperately lacked the time to slow down and fortify foundations for students with skill gaps, or to accelerate instruction for advanced students starving for a challenge. Time was the enemy, and the children were paying the price.

Filling the Gaps

I started Lila Pathways to build a sanctuary where education adapts to the child—never the other way around.
